18, 1943. I enjoyed reading your very fine and well written article.

I confess to you that I had not known of the new departure of The
Sporting News of pringing football, hockey and basketball, as you
have done this year. I certainly shall want to subscribe to your
fine publication for our department here, and alao I wish to subscribe
for my son who is a very avid reader of The Sporting News. My son

is a former member for three seasons of our varsity basketball tean,
finishing in 1941. He is in the Nedical School at the University of

- Pennsylvania and in his jumior year. de has a lieutenant’s comission
in the Reserve Officers Medical Corps. | ie
