Mrs. Willcuts has made these seven important changes: 1. Adoption of a policy of keep- ing the office open during the noon hour for the convenience of the public and the lawyers. 2. Installation of a modern ‘e- licate receipt system which in- sures more. accurate handling of county money. 3. Hauling from the attic many books of. old records; racks have been built and the records since _ 1862 now are in order; county commissioners assisted in this project. 4, Arranging all old criminal records so they are readily acces- sible in the attic; an index directs the way to these records. 5. Tracing down of every old book and record kept by the clerk’s office since 1862. 6. Rebinding of many old books in the office vault. 7. Installation of a new flat fil- records much more accessible; the. new system will be ready for use next week. here and at Washburn College and Kansas State College. She is the mother of Dorothy Jane Willcuts, a senior at the Uni- versity of Kansas, and Lois Elaine, sophomore at Topeka High School. She lives at 822 Topeka Avenue.
