Dear Dr, Allen:

tt seems to me that a little over two months ago, I |
read in the paper a dispatch relative to a case in which
the Athletic Association at Lawrence had tested out the fy b ale
question of taxability of admissions to athletic ookcaesel
This case of which I read may have been from K. U. and may )
not have been, but I failed to clip it at the time and have
lost track of it. oe

As I recall what was reported, the Court was discuss—
ing the question as to whether proceeds of athletic con-
tests were devoted to educational purposes. I am anxious
to refer to the court's language and if you can direct me
to the case in cuestion I would appreciate it very much
indeed. Stamped envelope is enclosed for your reply.

 

You may recall the writer as the son of Mrs. Olive
ii, Wood who was librarian at Baker when you were coaching
