ACADIA UNIVERSITY DEPARTMENT OF PHYSICAL EDUCATION W. T. OSBORNE, B.P.E., M.A. DirRecToR WOLFVILLE, N. S. Wov. 29th. 1937. Mr. Oswald Tower, Editor Andover, Mass. Dear Mr, Towers - / I am enclosing a drawing of a basket that we have been using here at Acadia for a number of years. - It originated here and has been in constant use with most satisfactory results. It has these advantages: | ce le--made of chain-- therefore is indestructable-- never out of order such as the nets that constantly wear out and need repairing. 2. makes the basket wery stable. 3. against the white backboard- gives the player a vision of rather a large basket. 4, never any mistake about a basket being made-- there is a slight pause of the ball as it goes thrure-- chains slide apart and ball drops.
