Dear Professor “lien,

We are enclosing two prints
showing alternatives in the remodeling of the
university swimming pool. The one method uses the
existing space. The other method would permit a
full size pool but requires considerable work
throughout the basement.

Now as to the cost. In the present
location, full remodelling, with under-water hights
acoustical ceiling, new filters, and tile work
throughout the pool and shower room---$38,000. This
includes underpinning the column and wall footings
to the the depth which you require. The other
location costs $47,500, and includes eliminating
two columns. .

In the first figure, the cost
of filters, pool lights and acoustical ceiling —
amounts to $8,150; the shower room tile to a $3,540
additional.

After you have had time to
lock over the two schemes, we shall be glad to make
an appointment, and will await direction as to
which method we should proceed upone
