Dear Dr, Allen:

This will acinowledge your summary of the
talk you gave at the basketball rally on Tuesday,
January 6. Although the convocation committee has
not adopted a policy of requiring a written summary
of each convocation program, I am glad to have your
report to circulate to the members of the committee.

I attended the convocation myself and
although I did not leave with a feeling that you had
used the convocation to “brawl", I did feel that your
treatment of the Tucker case near the end of the
hour was rather emphatic. I should not have handled
it that way, but then I readily admit that my neck

is not as tough as yours!
