Dear Mr. Phillips:

I feel very guilty in not acknowledging your and Mr. Adams'
very lovely invitation to me as of November 8, when you invited me
to be one of your guests at the informal stag dinner at the Ambassa-
dor Hotel. :

It was physically impossible for me to be there since I was
coaching my team and teaching here, but I appreciate your invite-
tion nevertheless.

I was delighted that your team won a game from the Ohrbach
Athletic Association team, New York A.A.U. Champions. It was a
thriller. I heard a part of it over the radio but the reception was
bad that night and I did not get to hear the finish. However, I
stayed right by the radio pulling for your team to win.
