of October 17.

C. E. McBride gets the "San Francisco
Chronicle." The information to which you refer
evidently came from that source. Newspaper stories,
particularly from the Coast, are highly exaggerated.

disciplinary problems and you probably recall that
I never run from a fight. It happens that in this
case there has been some difficulty and considerable
misunderstanding. The moves, however, have had the
unanimous sanction of the administration so that I
think that we may be on the right track even if the
procedure is criticized.
