Dear Dr. Allen:

I have your note of February 4 concerning
the use of the Auditorium for basketball practice. It is
regrettable that teaching and extracurricular activities
compete for the use of the Auditorium. The problem of
distribution of the time between basketball and the School
of Fine Arts is one that should be worked out by you in
conference with Dean Swarthout. You recall that for a
number of years this plan of making up the schedule has
