U. faced Baylor. De Paul, with the remarkable George Mikan counting 33 points for the season’s high at the Gar- den, routed L. I. U., 75—61. It was the last game of the campaign for the Blackbirds, who ended with a 14-9 record, the poorest in their history. : N. ¥. U. led Baylor, 34 to 23, at the half way mark in the second encounter.
