Dear Dr. Allen:

I want to congratulate you on your splendid
basketball team and sincerely hope that you can
finish the year without another defeat.

It has been my desire to see this team play
and it appears that I might now have the opportunity.
I am planning to be in Topeka for Kansas Day and
notice that you are playing the Kansas Aggies at
Lawrence on January 29th. With this in mind, I am
planning to skip the banquet and go to Lawrence
Tuesday afternoon and see the game. My brother will
be with me and I want to make sure that we can get
a ticket to see the game. I am planning to get in
Lawrence fairly early in the afternoon and had
thought of waiting until then to call at the office
for tickets. If you do not think tickets will be
available at that time, I would appreciate very much
if you would reserve two tickets for me, one to be
a "kK" and the other paid admission. If you wish,
you could mail them to me with a statement or let
me know how much it will be and I will mail the
money or pick them up Tuesday afternoon.
