CURTIS A. KOCH, DIRECTOR ROBERT ECCLEFIELD, CLERK E. A. WATKINS, TREASURER WELDA RURAL HIGH SCHOOL CLASS A - EDUCATION FOR CITIZENSHIP EEE -CORDER, PRINCICAEL WELDA, KANSAS pre Allen | Page 2 Dean, and we too, are very grateful to you. May the friendship and good understanding continue. I know you have a fine team. I had planned to be in Oklahoma City for the tournement but we had to play one of our postponed games that week. After you lost to the Aggies I was still betting you would come back strong, and you did against Oklahoma. Pardon me for writing so much in detail. I have hesitated in the past in saying anything about Dean's playing for fear you might think I was trying to push him too much. Whatever he gained at the university I wanted him to earn on his own merits. When he came to the university you knew nothing of his playing. Had he come from Kansas City or any such place you probably would have heard a plenty. Dean never played basketball for publicity or honor to himself, he played because he loved the game. Good luck, Dr. Allen, may you continue your phenomenal success. Dean and I will always be a close follower and a good wisher of you and your team. Mrs. Corder sends her best wishes and good luck. Sincerely yours, fie Gide Lee Corder.
