September 30, 1944. Mr. Forrest B. Cox, Basketball Coach, University of Colorado, Boulder, Colorado. Dear Frosty: . I have just received a letter from George Edwards stating that you had written hi saying that Colorado is - varsity basketball this winter and that you were perhaps interested in coming in to make a foursome with Missouri, Kansas Stete and Kansas. This is for December 22 and 23 in Kansas City. I had written to Ev Shelton regarding the 15th of Decenber. We are plaming on e foursome for the 16th and 16th. If you are inter- ested in the 22nd and 23rd I will be very happy to heer from youe The arrangenents.that we have had in Kansas City heretofore are that a certain amount for expenses for each of the teans rated on railroad travel is permitted, and after the hall rental, officials' ‘fees and other expenses are taken out, the cut is four ways, of course, i> four teams are perticipeting. There is no expense money . Por promotional work, so each team gets what they draw eat the gate. But of course no one guarantees expenses to anyone. They all take their chances, but Kansas City has always proven a fine drawing card end I am sure this year will be no exception. With el11 good wishes, I am Very sinoerely yours, Dir eotor of Physical Biuoation, FCA: Ail Varsity Basketball Coach.
