HUNT, Superintendent Nadine E, liiller Public Information Service March 5, 1943 To the Superintendent: "Fitness Problems of 1943" is the theme of the two-day streamlined convention of the Central District Association of Health, Physical Education and Recreation which will meet in Kansas City, April 2 and 3, "Fitness Problems" such as: mass feeding in schools, recreation programs for doorstep children, the value of "the Grid," and meeting the standards of a good health and physical education program as outlined by the Victory Corps, will be discussed in this workshop conference, Key speakers of the conference will be John B, ielly, a member of the Federal Office of Defense, Health, and Wel- fare Services who will give the latest government informa- tion on improving the nation's physical fitness; Jay 5, Nash, president of the national organization of Health, Physical Education and Recreation and an authority on solving health problems; John L, Bracken, chairman of the Commission who prepared "Health in Schools;" and Edward Haislet, Lt,, U.S,N.R., assistant athletic director of the United States Navy.
