MINUTES OF BOARD OF DIRBCTORS MAETING

Minutes of the last board meeting were read and approved.

On the recommendation of Ruben Fox, Chairman, Budget
and Finance Committee, motion was made by Davidson, seconded
by Eby, that the committee's action in approving and author-
izing payments of member agency allotments from April list
through October be accepted. Motion carried.

President Aszman read a report of the Budget and Finance
Committee recommending the agencies and amounts for approval
in next year's Community Chest. Copy of the report attached.
On motion by Davidson, seconded by Mrs. Six, the report of
the Budget and Finance Conmittee was accepted by the Board.

On motion by Woestemeyer, seconded by Eby, the Board
went on record instructing the treasurer to invest $1,000.00
of chest funds during the Third War Finance Campaign in
September.

President Aszgman expressed the appreciation of board
members to Chairman Fox and other members of his Finance
Committee for their thorough work in an&lyzing the reports
and needs of the agency members.

On motion by Woestemeyer, seconded by Mrs. Dodds, the
Chest Board went on record cooperating fully with the National
War Fund, Inc. in the joint Chest-War Fund Campaign and in
order to facilitate matters, the Chest Executive Committee,
composed of the officers, be authorized to act for the Chest
Board in working with the general campaign organization,

On motion by Mrs. Six, seconded by Fox, the Boara
unaninously approved the appointment of Fritz Hlvig as
general chairman of the joint Chest-War Fund Campaign in
October.
