Dear Mr. Caldwell:

I widerstood from the press that Jack Lovelock, an
Australian, is beck in his native country and doing war
work. I am not sure whether he is a soldier or what,
but he is serving his country.

Yes, he was a friend of Glenn Cunningham, and a
fine opponent. He broke the world's record in the nile
at Prinseton University some five or six years ago.

I would suggest that if you want further information
you write the sport desk of the Kansas City Star. They
have all available records there which they will be glad
to furnish yous
