I am very happy to write in behalf of Mr. John
F. Carmody, for six years director of athletics and head
coach at Haskell Institute.

I came in close contact with Mr. Carmody during
his tenure at Haskell Institute, and have a very high regard
for him as a man and as a coach and leader of young people.
He is a youmg man of excellent character and habits, has a
very pleasing personality, and is intensely loyal. He had
the high respect and admiration of the people in this comumn-
