We still heve heave an in ani out ball club. ‘Some games
we will win and in others we will not look very good. “hen you
have three sophomores in the the line up you ean never venture too

, We cannot get pullman connections to Columbia so it
looks as if we will have to. go down on the bus. Uncle Sam is
taking all the extra pullmans for troup movement.

The Bsquire just came to my desk this morning with an
‘article that I have written on "Rotate the Center Jump", on page
56. There might be something in it that would interest you be-
cause I have suggested that we rotate the jumping as you rotate
the baseball player in batting order. I think it is much more
sensible than giving the ball to the opponents out of bounds
every time someone scores. Then the fellow out of bounds fires
it in and the shovel. game is on. Anyhow, you can’t blame me for
trying to present something that will reduce this harum-scarum,

shap~happy game we have at present.

Confidentially, we are going to play the Great Lakes
Navel Station team in Kansas City on February Sth, but the Great
Lakes authorities will break the story from that ond. Please
wait upon their release as they have ideas of their owns
