If your memory is as good as your teachings, you will have
no difficulty recalling mee We have met some threeyears ago in New York
City, in the office of Sport Story Magazine, of which I was the editor
at the time when we bought a very fine article from you on basketball.

Later, you presented Mr. Oliphant and Mr. Grahame with a
complimentary copy of your "My Basketball Bible." “hen Oliphant
and I left Street & Smith ¢he book was to pass on to mee Unfortunately,
someone had absconded with ite I had always wanted to get a copy of
it myself, and am writing to ask you whether it would be incconformity
with your principles to present a copy of "My Basketball Bible" to my
boyse Katherine House is a Community Center for the underpriviled
boys and girls. We haven't any sinking funds and must: rely on benefactors
to donate what each can to make the boys happye This is a hotbed of
basketball and anything you could contribute in that line--book, charts,
drills, etce--would be of inestimable value to the Housee

your sincere interest in boys and your desire to help whenever you find
it possible.
