I my wire I offered you two alternatives, either
to return at once or to resigne Your failure to comply with
either suggestion has given me no other alternative than te
replace you in the department, and to notify the Chancellor's
office accordinglye

In regard to the 1922 salary, you must know that
the fiseal year in the University does end and always has
ended upon June 30, and all University appointments always
terminate at that time. Furthermore, you must recognize —

‘appointment was changed in 1936 fron twelve to nine months,
without reduction in salary, Hence, nothing -oan be due
you, whatever.
