Dear friend, Mr. Allen:

| I expect to come to Lawrence next week, probably Monday and
I will be in summer school. I have a boy, 16 years of age and
who will be a senior in high school next fall, who has a bad
shoulder dislocation that I would like to have you examine. He
got it in a hard fall on his arm and elbow last January ina
basketball game and has given some trouble since—-"goes" out’ at
times. He plays football, basketball, runs in track& and shoots
golf,..so you can know the extent off our alarm. He has started
carrying it at his side, pinned to his shirt, to avoid getting it
too high. I am wondering if there would be a chance to have you
see him. I can keep him in Lawrence a while or can have him return
after summer school starts.
