There had been no track team here for twelve years prior to the spring of 1936. In 1937, Southeastern placed third in the Ccnference Meet. Under my direction we heve out on a full inter-collegiste athletic progran, football, basketball, baseball, treck, tennis, and golf. Boxing was started the past winter and have teught swimning in summer sessions, (outdosr peol), 1936-37. May 7, 1937, inaugurated the Savage Relays, a night meet for colleges with approximately 100 athletes from Texas and Oklehoma. This was the first meet of its kind to be held amywhere in the state aml was highiy successful in its reception. Teach theory classes for physical education majors, such as anatcmy, community recreation, intre-mural ethletics, administration and principles, direct practice teaching ani teach activity classes. Intreduced intramural system at Southeastern. Have directed each year tournaments for high schools consisting of 35 or more teams. Direated the ennual Southeastern Inter-High school Meet, the second largest in the state, with literary, fine arts, track activities. 36 years of age, married and have three children.
