Dear Dr. Allen:

I have been conferring with
Paul Masoner in regard to our coaching
position at Herington.

We have no doubt, of course,
as to the ability of Masoner to assist
with our football and track work. You
understand that we have a coach for those
two sports. What we would like to know
is, could Masoner coach the basketball,
or in other words, in a sense fill the
vacancy left by Mr. Vanek? He tells me
he has not lettered in basketball but has
been on your squad.

Mr. Vanek has set a rather fast
pace here in basketball and we want his
successor to make good. In your judgment,
is Masoner qualified for this position?
