See by the papers that the basket ball squad has been out
and along with the rest of your friends here in Kansas City I
am again looking forward to the one sport on which I can always
count on Kansas putting up a real showing. You don't always
win (darn near it) but you at least get the most out of your
material and that is more important.

You may recall that last spring I was trying out some new
tennis balls and you had me send one dozen for the Physical
Education Department. This was charged on the regular University
account but was never taken care of. Perhaps I should have
charged it direct to your department but I didn't and now Earl
has advised me that I should write to you and explain the sit-
uation, If there is any difficulty about it just skip it but

here is that small balance unpaid.

I'm ashamed to say that I have not been in Lawrence this
fall but I hope to soon and Will drop in to see you.

While I think of it I might be in a position to help on any
new equipment you might need even though our store is closed to
the public. I shouldn't think you would be needing anything in
the way of uniforms or sweat suits but if you do I would be glad
to work with you and save you what I can by purchasing direct
from the factory. The latter is just a thought.
