W. F. COEN, JR. Coen’s ATHLETIC & SPORTING GOODS CO. NINE TWENTY-FIVE WALNUT STREET - - KANSAS CITY, MISSOURI WHOLESALE @ RETA, December &1, 1957 Dr. Forrest C. Allen Athletic Department University of Kansas Lawrence, Kansas Dear Doc? I meant to acknowledge your clipping on the uniforms sev- everal days ago but the Christmas rush of business is getting head over heels. Ii did appreciate the kind words about the uniforms and I have heard from other sources as well that the boys look mighty nice. from the box scores it looks as though they are looking nice in action as well as uniforms and I know that you are going to be right in the thick of it again this year. Just to pass on a word that I just heard. George Ramsey, the Coach at Clinton High School, was in a few days ago and happened to mention a boy named Hamlin of Windsor High School, Windsor, Missouri. He said he is the best boy he has seen in years. He is big and from all reports does a lot of scoring. I just mention this because I imagine you like to hear about promising boys. Incidentally, he's a senior. I haven't seen him personally. I have an idea for you for a between halves performance that I feel would be of great interest. It would be a table tennis exhibition between two top flite players. Most. people do not realize how scientific the game has become and how in- teresting it can be for the spectators. I am sure I could do all the arranging. if you are interested. All the luck in the world to you and the boys and I hope the suits prove good luck charms. I know you don't have any stronger supporter than I. § tho %. Yours very truly, \ COEN'S ATHLETIC & SPORTING GOODS 6O. DISTRIBUTORS FOR A. G.
