LEM = 2 | January 24, 1938 It was my understanding at the conference meeting that should anyone not care for the goal, they would have their choice at the time of the game. George Edwards and Frank Root have come to the same conclusion as Nebraska and from my correspondence with McDermott of Oklahoma, he is of the same opinion that the goal is not worth the price and would much rather use the old style. We feel we have given this a very thorough trial and have found a substitute for the only valid reason to use the goal, that is a light to flash when a goal is made, and would therefore, very much prefer playing on your court with the old style basket.
