THE UNIVERSITY, OF NEBRASKA LINCOLN DEPARTMENT OF INTERCOLLEGIATE ATHLETICS VOFRPTICE OF THE DIRECTOR September 29, 1957 Dr. Forrest C. Allen Basketball Coach University of Kansas Lawrence, Kansas Dear Mr. Allen: I received your letter of September 20th in regard to a proposed Big Six tournament at the Univer- sity of Nebraska during the Christmas holidays, and also your letter of the 23rd in regard to the Bask-0-Lite goal. In regard to the goal, I don't believe Nebraska is interested as far as this season is concerned. The guestion of the tournament is worth considering and we will keep it in the back of our minds to discuss some- time in the future. At the present writing the pressing details of a football season are keeping me very busy and I have not had an opportunity to do much thinking about basket- ball. We are trying to leave no stone unturned to make a good showing against Minnesota this Saturday in Lincoln. I saw them play last Saturday and they certainly have the finest squad and the most brilliant array of backfield talent I have ever seen. If you are in Lincoln Saturday, I would enjoy seeing you, at least for a few moments of greeting. incerely yours, W - H. Browne Bask etball Coach WHB: BLB
