December 6, 1945 Mr. Re Le Dennen, Superintendent Colby Public Schools — Colby, Mansas Dear Superintondont Dennen : I am sorry indeed that I failed to answer your letter sooner, It was just one of those thing, I didn't get around to early enough. - We use powder in boxes and it is much superior to , Liquid. We have been using it in boxes now for two years and we would not think of going back to the solution. The powder aids in drying their feet, but, of course, the feet ( should be thoroughly dry before the boy uses the powder box. : 2 . The Cramer Chemical Company handles the powder and I _. think it is quite reasonable because of the high efficiency that is had by the use of the powder, I happen to be president of the Lawrence Country Club and we are using the powder out there also. We are utilizing the rubber bath tub that we used ‘the liquid in, However, I think that at least a pine box six inches high and three feet square would be much better and to avoid any splinters on the bottom we use a composition paper bottom. You know what I mean, the heavy wallpaper board about three inches to 5/8 of an inch deep and we nail it to the wood and use it as the bottom of the box. I believe you will see | : the efficacy of this type of box. Since it rests on the floor : and has no hard usage, we have had no difficulty with it. With every good wish, I am Sincerely, af Director of Physical Education, PCA :MF : Varsity Basketball Coach. |
