Dear Gwinn and "Phog":

I am writing you both about baseball because
I had a chance to visit with "Phog" during our basketball game
here.

We would like very much to play you the four games
we have scheduled with each team to pay their own expenses
involving no guarantee. We would be willing to furnish lodging
in fraternity houses or private homes for your team the one night
they would be in Columbia if you would do the same for our boys
the one night they would be in Lawrence.

Since you people are going to have a team I think
it would be too bad if we couldn't get together for these 4 games.

I hope you will let me hear from you right away
about this as we are anxious to find out if we are going to be
able to get a baseball schedule, although we expect to have
baseball if we can.
