No, Fred I am not ill, nor did neglect to send. back
the newspaper article you sent me.

I have your two cards dated Jume 6 and July 7. I
had not intended to mail it back as yet because I wanted
_ to have something in the Jayhawk Rebounds regarding you,
but could not find a ‘justifiable and clever way to use it
and thought I would hold it mene I could.

Bert Ober left Lawrence por went to California, I t
think in your section of the commtry. We hated to see Bert
go. He was a swell fellow and a great asset to the. community.
The next Jayhawk rebounds which I will write in the next two
weeks will have your name in the manner abowe mentioned, and
then I will return ‘your clippings, but I am holding them now
for safe keeping and references.
