| December 14, 1942. Mrs. Jewell Ross Davis, Maryville, Missouri . Dear Mra. Davis: ‘ It was good of you to write as you did on December 11. We were happy te have you and the President's wife as our guests, but I was sorry that we could not make a better showing. Our team play is still spetty and ragged, but before the season is over we are hoping fer better things. I will convey your good wishes to Mrs. Allen, and I know she will be mighty happy to have heard from you. Your mention of the Whitmans and the Garrisons brings back many pleasant ‘memories of our Warrensburg days. And the other recollections that you mention have not been forgotten, but they were re- freshed vividly by your mentioning them. Those were good days, weren't they? : We reciprocate your good wishes, and wish for you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Very cordially yours, Direoter of Physical Education, PCA: AH Varaity Basketball Coach.
