UNIVERSITY OF KANSAS LAWRENCE OFFICE OF THE DIRECTOR OF INFORMATION November 3, 1942 Dr. Forrest ©. Allen 105 Robinson Gym Campus Dear K. U. Rotarian: There are sixteen members of the Lawrence Rotary Club on the hill. With gasoline rationing impending and with the tire shortage already in effect, it would seem to be a wise policy to adopt some form of group riding to the Rotary meetings on Monday noon. ‘Two or three cars each week should be sufficient to carry out this program. If you would be willing to coop- erate in such a venture I would appreciate your let- ting me know at your earliest convenience in order that a schedule may be worked out. With such a plan it would be necessary for each member to use his car only once every four or five weeks and the start down town could be made by pre- arrangement at some central location. I Welt aporeciate your reaction to this pro- posal as soon as possible, either by telephone (KU 143) or campus mail. Sincerely yours, K. W. Davidson KWD : MEM Director of Information
