Dear Miss Duggan:

Thank you for your kind letter of March 19th.
I regret that it will be impossible for us to attend
the New Orleans convention this month. We have had.
to release our Dr. Elbel for war service, and this of
necessity entails extra work for those of us remaining.

I was pleased to serve on your comittee, but
sorry that the war has interrupted the plans so that I
em unable to get to the convention.
