This is a direct appeal for help.

| The Salina Chamber of Commerce has decides to stream-
line its annual banquet for Kansas Wesleyan, Salina Hi and Sacred Heart
players to the extant that the apvropriation is spread te take in all of
the A ans B squads, with none of the dough-ri-me going to the usual imported
speaker---- leaving me as the speaking nominee. I tock the bid thinking
I might entertain with a 20-30 minute summary of the deveicpment of baskat-
ball, but after looking for material in cur public library and other avail-
able sources I find that is more than I can handle.

De you have at hana bocks, pamphlets,articles and
such in which I might trace the rule changes, the pivot, the Ajribble,
the evolution of the ball,and the jillion cther changes which hawe heen
maas thrceugh the year. Ana if you ac wuld it be too great an imposition
to ask for the lensing of these, with my promiss of a safe and speedy

return?

| Congratulationa on your ousting of the Ibaites, which
IT saw, and thoroughly enjoyed. Sorry about the loss to Colorado, but since
K.U. coulan't win +'m rather glaa I get sent to Hays to broadrcast from the
State A tourney after having made plans to attend the NCAA western. :
