there will now admit that physical education does have a very important
place in the life, and the preservation of the life, of the country.

Congratulations on your swell basketball season, Doc! That was
great. If you have just a few of those boys back next year, I'm sure
you'll go all the way to the national championship. Needless to say,
I enjoyed seeing Stanford play several times, and was pleased the way
they went thru the tournament.

I was in Washington, D. C. on December 7th and had planned a
stopover at K. U. on the way home. But I received orders on December
8th to report back immediately to Riverside. Our headquarters have
been in San Francisco since January.

I better close this letter before it becomes a book. Ferhaps
we can have a good bull session before this year is over. Better
come out to California this summer. We have a lovely place down the
peninsula with plenty of room, We would certainly like to have you
stay with us there,
