Sept. 16, 1942 Stadium Dear Mr. Davidson, Some tine along in the sumer I wrote you and I alse spoke to you regarding the painting of the handball courts. I was sure that you understood that I wanted them repaired where they needed it. There are some loose boards, and on the west handball courts the lights need fixing. I believe we also spoke to you about painting the side walls to the height of seven feet clear around. Something over a month ago I spoke to you about attending to this, and it was my definite understanding that you said you had painted them. ‘This morning I went down to inspect them expecting to find them in good repairs I found them unpainted and in bad shape. I promised Chancellor Malott this summer that wo would paint them, end I felt quite chagrined in finding that they ere unpainted. Is is possible to paint these immediately? It will also obliterate. some ebscene carvings and will permit mere enjoyable student partici-~ pation by giving them a clear backgrounde | Thank yeu very much for your inmedéiiée attention. I would also’ appreciate it if you would stop by o that I may go down with you and point out the very evident things to be corrected. Sincerely yours, \ \ Director of Physical Education’ and Recreation Yarsity Basketball Coach FCA/pg ee:Chancelior Malott
