Dear Miss Gerstenberger:

Thank you very kindly for your note of
November 4. I am sorry to have pestered Dr. Allen
with such an unconsequential request. I might have
known that he, as usual, would be up to his ears in
Speeches and enterprizes of all sorts. He is undoubt-
edly the busiest fellow I know!

Please give him my kind personal regards and
tell him I am happy to learn, even if only through his
secretary, that he bears no malice toward me for any
ommissions which I may have exhibited last spring in
the basketball tournament. Having never heard from
him since that date, I had begun to wonder.

with best personal regards to the members of the
