Dear Dr. Allan:

John Bunn has very kindly written a note of recommendation
to a number of basketball coaches and secretaries in this section and
has asked them to give me a trial during the coming season,in basket-
ball officiating. Since I knowgno one in this part of the country,
and since I am anxious to continue my officiating career I am wonder-
ing whether you would feel inclined to write to Asa Bushnell, and any
of the coaches whom you may know personally, in this region,telling
them something about my ability?

Perhaps since you saw me work in the Kansas City tournament.
