Position I am taking:

Virector of Physical Training for the 4th Air “orce.

Area comprises the Southwest Air istrict including all Army
air fields in the States of California, Arizona, New Mexico,

Nevada.
Appointment is civil service under War Department.

Commanding officer (who made appointment and interviewed me):
Major General Jacob E. Fickel.

Duties: Physical conditioning and provision of recreation for
all officers, cadets and enlisted men in the 4th Air
Force °

Further information: U.S. is divided into four air districts
each under the command of a flying major general.

Each air district is employing a civilian to direct the
Physical training and conditioning of the air force per-
sonnel in each district.
