Wetre now just atarting our Summer School work. - IT notice that you have gotten much information from Springfield College and you doubtless have the book, "Basketball", edited by the Associated ress. This should give you much information and background. I have been associated with Doctor Naismith since 1905. I pleyed on the Varsity team here when he was our only coach. He éid not intend to coach much but his philosophy and interest in the geme was very interesting, : I became Varsity basketball coach in 1908-1909 end won the Championship both years. Then I returned to the University of Kansas as Athletic Director and have been coaching here since that time. All these years I was directly and closely identified with Doctor Naismith, he being Director of Physical Edusation and I beaage, Director of Athletics and Coach of Basketball. Sen, I was given both departments of Director of Athletics and Director of Physical Education, while Doctor Naismith contineed as Professor of Physical Education. ie If there are some points that you wish for me to give you information on, I will be very gled to do 50.
