Dear Roys

The situation here is very similar, only a little worse,
than the situation you find yourself ine ‘Two years ago Ralph Conger,
the freshman football coach, coached baseball and last year like
Getto coached the Varsitye "Neither: of these football coaches had
any baseball experience either as a player or as a coach, and as
a& consequence the caliber of baseball has suffered somewhat here
in Lawrentes

take baseball here, Nothing was done previously and as a consequence
we have a tough echedule with the poorest prospects that we have
ever had,» We have only two fair pitchers and we have four Big#Six
gemes on consecutive deys on two different playing situations, so
you can see that we are in for a slaughtere We open with Kansas State
here on April 7 and 8 and those farmers pole long clouts I am told,
so you see I am in for a tough seasote

Also, Roy, we are permitted only 16 games and we have
16 seheduled 12 in the Conference and two outside, taking up our full
quotas However, I do thank you and hope that we can mest next years
