Bawrence Public Schools CLIFFORD D. DEAN, SUPERINTENDENT Lawrence, Kansas June 13, 1940 Dre Forrest Ce Allen University of Kansas Lawrence, Kansas Dear Dr. Allen: I am writing to express our appreciation for the work done this past semester in the elementary schools by the physical education cadets. All reports which have reached my office have been favorable. I feel sure the pupils have profited by this experience and we hope it has been worthwhile for the cadet teachers. Our Board of Education at its regular June meeting voted to extend the privilege of using cadet teachers in the Junior and Senior High School physical educa=- tion classes in addition to the elementary schools. This permission was given subject to the restriction of not more than two cadets to any one class and that their work be in the nature of observation and assistance only. They are not to take direct charge of any classe Please feel free to call upon us for help if we can be of assistance in setting up the program for the coming school yeare Very sincerely yours, Clifford D.
