Several years have gone by and I am using your name as a reference. The job for which I am applying is at the State Teachers College at Hyannis, Massachusetts. The pre-requisites are a Master's Degree and five years of teaching in a public school. I received my B. 8. in 1931 and my Master of Educa- tion in 1936, and this is my ninth year of Director of Health and Physical Education at the Chautauqua Central School. Professor Affleck is the one who recommended me to the position, and I hope that I am fortunate enough to receive the appointment. You might be interested in knowing that in the past eight years my basketball teams have won the Sectional Championship of Western New York four times. We haven't had state championship contests for the past nine years. My teams have won 110 and lost 21 in eight seasons. This year we have won both games played to date and I hope to have another Sectional Champion- ship. Normie started in the first grade this year and is enjoying his school work. Mary and I often speak of you, and we would enjoy seeing you again. Her father, Dr. 8S. Stevens, dropped dead last January and her mother is now living with us.
