Phog Allen Kansas University lawrence, Kansas Dear Phog, We have a poy down here on the high school basketoall team by the name of F. R. Bennett, jr., that looks like a good Kansas University prospect. He is only a Junior, sixteen years old but is five feet ten or eleven so should grow another two inches before ready for col- lege. He is one of those boys that looks lazy and slow on the floor but seems to always be in the right place on the court. To date this year, he has scored about forty percent of the points made by the Ottawa team. I do not know whether true or not but one of the high school boys was telling me that no op- ponent who he is supposed to guard has made a field goal this year. In addition to the above he has averaged ninety five in his first two years in high school. Wherever he might go to school he will not need work nor fi- nancial assistance. My only interest is that he go to Kansas to school so thought you might be interested, Southern California came to Colorado after his cousin this year but I would like to see this boy stay in this country. With kind regards, I am Yours very truly, BA/w
