Mie Committee on Committees, has your letter to the Chancellor in
regard to a Senate committee on Physical Education. His committee must
make a report to the Senate next Tuesday, and he would like to talk to
you iMonday at 2:30 about this new committee. His committee today (Frie)
met and will recommend that the Committee on Athletics be abolished and
that a new committee - "Intramural Sports and Physical welfare" (this is
merely a suggested name) be set up with you as chairman. You should
suggest the personnel of this camittee, to be approved by the Committee
on Committees, so that the whole new set-up can be presented in complete

form to the Senate on Tuesdaye
