My dear Dr. Allen:

You will see from the enclosed card that last January we withdrew
Walter Dunden from his classes, including Physical Education,with a

failure because of his inability to get to class. Mr. Shenk signed
this card but evidently failed to record in his grade book that the
boy was withdrawn with a failure, for on the final grade sheet he
turned in a withdrawal,which always means an honorable withdrawal,
snstead of the failure which he should have reported.

Accordingly, will you please sign the enclosed card which will correct
the Registrar's record and return both cards to me?
