ArTHUR P. BONDURANT 660 S.FourtnH Ave. LOUISVILLE ganuary 10, 1942 - Doctor Forrest C. Allen University of Kansas Lawrence, Kansas Dear Doctor Allen: I've just read with considerable interest your article "Rotate the Center-Jump" in the Febru- ary edition of Esquire, an advance copy of which has just come across my desk. You will, no doubt, stir up many a controversy again and will get many letters on this subject, but, let me be one of the first to say that you are 100% right in getting away from the game as we have it today. The dizzy pace is just too much for the youngsters and I'm glad I played my basketball under the old rules. Your solution sounds sensible and it would be fair to everybody. I hope you start something that can be put into effect. : I certainly enjoyed seeing Mrs. Allen, when she was here last month and I am still looking for- ward to that golf game with you. You have two coming now, so if you have hoarded any golf balls, come over this way at your first opportunity this Spring and we'll see how gogd you are. Sincerely yours apb;hmc A. P. Bondurant
