Dear Phog Allen,

Your good letter to me
is typically you, and I have
made some things plain to the
committee: that they need never
have become wary of the com-
mercial side of the project.
That's whege I failed; the
committee thought the college
was about to undertake some
more emphasis on athletics‘

But so it goest we have
no contrect-where there is not
a meeting of minds.

Regretss too, om my part,
because I like adventure.
