Morningside College SIOUX CITY, IOWA 4 DEPARTMENT OF ATHLETICS danua ry 13 . 1938 J. M. SAUNDERSON AND PHYSICAL EDUCATION R. GLENN ROGERS Dr. Forrest C. Allen Director of Physical Education University of Kansas Lawrence, Kansas My dear Doctor: Your welcome letter is at hand and I am inclosing the names and addresses of the men enrolled in our Coaching School last summer. I am sure that there ean be no conflict in your school and ours and I will be very glad to help in any way possible. We have had under consideration for the last year or two the addition of a line coach to our staff. The difficulty is, of course, one of finance--whether our situation will warrent this addition for next year is still a question. I would be pleased to have Mr. Dees write me giving me @ brief statement of his qualifica- tions together with the salary he would expect so that if we find ourselves in a position to make some rather definite move, we will have that much of a start on the problem. Please do not give him too much encouragement as we are quite apt to have to struggle along with our present set-up another year at least. I am sure that your basketball team will continue to give @ good account of itself with increasingly good results. I enjoyed watching them play in Des Moines and quite agree with your analysis of what was wrong. Sincerely yours, Ithletic Director JMS: IMD : é Be ui coc Mica aetna Sg
