Dear Sam:

I have your very good letter of the second instant end I
am sorry thet I was out of town when it arrived. I had speek-
ing- dates in Toledo, Chicago, and Hilwaukee at teachers’ meet-
ings and returned to find your letter and others weiting.

I assure you that I do not resent your taking the liberty
of using my name for references I will always be happy to
help you and other young men gain headway and you rey count on

j, heard from Dr. Richmond of Murray State Teachers College of
Murrey, Kentucky; but, if and when I do, I will be very happy
to assist you in all possible ways.

I had the pleasure of officiating at a game for your
brother who is coaching the Abilene Nigh School football eg-
gregation. He has a fine group of boys and they pleyed excel-

‘lent fundamental football. They had good team morale and they
were successful in running over the Heskell Indiens here 26-66
- I thought he had an excellently coached team.

Please give my kindest regards to Mike Getto. He is a
fine man and I am sure that you enjoy working with hin.
